We are a family that likes to travel and learn about different cultures, we have travelled to several continents followed by our passion for knowing what different peoples eat. On one of our trips, we took a walk-through Emilia Romana, stopped in Bologna and learned about the typical foods of the region, Tortellini, Tagliatelle and Bolognese sauce. Then we learned about Gelato (Italian ice cream) an impressive experience full of flavour. The varied food and the full of contrasts motivated us to bring them to Canada so that everyone could live this culinary experience.

So we created “Scarpetta’s – Authentic Italian Flavors” but why the name Scarpetta’s? I grew up with an Italian family, and for 40 years I shared their food and a variety of dishes with them. I remember my Uncle (From the Heart) taught me that after finishing the pasta, I have to do the Scarpetta, Which is the act of passing a piece of bread on top of the remaining sauce on the plate as an act of having completed the entire meal and representing that the dish was exquisite.

We want to give you a homemade culinary experience with the original recipe of Italian families, the same recipe that grandmother (La Nonna) cooked for the whole family.
